A Mechanical Engineer with First Class honours, RTS2 & NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and ex-competitive kickboxer, Benny has specific experience and expertise in rehab/post-rehab clientele and working with athletes. He's also the founder and CEO of Joompa Technologies, a platform that makes qualified health and fitness coaching more accessible to the public. Having been trained personally by Dr Mark Slavin and Tom Purvis, Benny is Southeast Asia’s only certified RTS Level 1 instructor, coaching PTs in the science of exercise mechanics to increase the quality of service provided across the region.

 

With 12 years mixed martial arts experience at the time I founded Swansea University Kickboxing Club at the beginning of my 2nd year and within 2 years it was the university's fastest-growing sports club having grown to over almost 150 registered members, turning over one of the highest profits of any sport in the Athletic Union. I was also the Lead Instructor, responsible for training all members and trainee coaches. 

 

Amongst many other sports I enjoy wakeboarding, snowboarding and kitesurfing and have been playing competitive AFL for the Malaysian Warriors recently.

I am also a keen trail runner, spending my weekend mornings exploring the hills, mountains and waterfalls that surround the Klang Valley.
