Objective

The course provides students with the knowledge about the benefits and importance of physical activity during pregnancy and recovery after childbirth, gives them an understanding of the anatomy of the female pelvis and pelvic floor and the role play. 
Participants learn about the key causes, prevention, and rehabilitation of most common pregnancy-induced pains & injuries (such as lower back pain, diastasis recti, pelvic floor muscle dysfunction (PFMD), sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction, sciatica, symphysis pubis dysfunction and carpal tunnel) and how to manage them with the safe application and modification of exercises in respect of the Physiological, Musculoskeletal & Psychological changes during all trimesters and Postpartum period.

Course Modules

• Be aware of the Physiological, Musculoskeletal & Psychological changes during all trimesters and Postpartum period       and the factors influencing performance.


• be able to identify specific risks associated with most common pre- and post-natal causes of pains and injuries and       be able to apply specific exercise modifications accordingly.


• Develop confidence to motivate and guide your pregnant client throughout her pregnancy and support her with             effective exercises for her recovery.
